The PepsiCo, Inc. (NASDAQ: PEP) announced today that the company will Acquire a cannabis beverage company, Kona Gold Solutions, Inc. (OTC: KGKG). The acquisition will give PepsiCo a Strong, Hemp Energy Drink and CBD HighDrate Energy Waters Platform.

After years of prohibition, industrial hemp is now federally legal in America. The Farm Bill, which goes into effect on January 1, 2019, is a monumental step for the hemp industry and it will finally allow businesses to sell hemp products anywhere in the U.S.

Kona Gold has grown to become a major hemp & CBD beverage brand which announced that the Company had it’s strongest quarter to date with revenues up 400 from the previous quarter.  Contributing to the increase in revenue was the Company’s online sales from Amazon and product websites, which were up over 1,300 year-over-year.

The acquisition of Kona Gold Solutions Inc. is valued at $11.2 million.
The PEP/KGKG share stock swap ratio, is that each KGKG shareholder will receives 0.9697 shares of PEP on January 1st, 2019 in exchange for fifty shares of KGKG stock. At the current stock prices it put a $2.19 value on Kona Gold.
