Limestone County resident and teacher, Andy George, has been chosen to play the role of character, Lt. Dan Taylor in the remake of Forrest Gump. (Due in theaters Christmas 2018). According to Entertainment Monthly, Mr. George was chosen from of a group of more than 750 people auditioning for the part in Los Angeles last month. A person close to the casting decision says, "Andy was chosen for several reasons. The director feels Andy has a natural talent for acting. With new technology in filming, the people in charge wanted to go with someone legitimately in a wheelchair because "Lt. Dan doesn't lose his legs in combat. He receives a spinal cord injury". This movie will have very few scenes where Lt. Dan is filmed standing, but when a scene does occur, new technologies like CGI, will be used. With most of the scenes of the character in a wheelchair, this will provide the audience with a more genuine character experience. ". Calls to Mr. George's home for comment were taken by a family member that said they were not at liberty to discuss many details of the situation saying only, "Andy will still keep his job as teacher, and only film his parts during weekends and holidays. ". Asked if Mr. George would continue his teaching career after the movie is released, the person speaking for Mr. George said, "We will just have to wait and see. I know Andy has always wanted to do some acting, and he loves California. If the movie, or more specifically, his acting is a hit, I can definitely see him doing this full time."

whale spotted in illinois river
A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri.
While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
