Untreated Broken Rib Sends Resort Guru to Intensive Care - Kerrville, TX

In the early hours of Monday morning, the Kerrville community was shocked to learn that a local Resort Guru, loved by so many in the community, ended up in critical condition at Sid Peterson Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit. James Dumas, a transplant from Austin who was greeted with open arms by the community several years ago, was injured eight days ago, but refused treatment so that he might continue his labor of love at a local Texas Hill Country Resort.

Doctors reported that James was likely of the Superhero category, as no one else would have been able to walk, much less continue working for eight days. "There have been hundreds of people at the hospital with candles and gifts and singing songs, showing their support for James since the ambulance arrived at 1:40 AM CST. The outpouring of love for this man is amazing", said Dr. Dewey Little, tending physician.

It is not known, at this time, if Mr. Dumas will survive the ordeal and friends and relatives are encouraged to help in any way possible as medical bills will be devastating IF he is lucky enough to survive the hospital visit.

"I don't like doctors, and need to get back to work." Dumas was heard to have said shortly before he quietly slipped into a coma in the early hours. James is known as a successful photographer who owned and operated SPECTRUM Photography and Advertising in Austin Texas before having a severe case of MAC (Middle Age Crazy) where he went fishing for six years at the peak of his career. He then transitioned into the Hospitality Business where he is known and loved by all who meet him. Dumas is also known as a two time recipient of "The Planet's Funniest FaceBook Member, a Mark Zuckerburg Award and has a tremendous following on FaceBook with somewhere under 10,000 followers.

Should Mr. Dumas not survive his injuries, he will leave behind Nicole Thudog who was quoted as saying "If Jim goes, I'm going too". Nicole is known Internationally as a Frisbee Champion and is likely to be the world's smartest Border Collie.

Please do what you can for this wonderful family as they need your help and support at this time.

    whale spotted in illinois river

A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri.

While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
