Renzo "Zo" Agcaoili , a 19 year old filipino soccer player arrived in Chicago barely a little over a month ago signs with Chicago Fire Professional Development League (PDL) Team. The 19 year old midfielder was first spotted at River Park Field by one of the clubs scouts while playing a pick up game with a local high school team. Usually training by himself, the scout reported his potential development as a player and outstanding work ethic.

After a proper trial with the team , the young midfielder impressed the coaching staff of the Illinois based side and was invited to train and later join the team. There is no news yet on what the young midfielder can do but head coach Mark Spooner is excited by what he thinks he can bring to the team in his statement , " At first I was skeptical about the kid, but after he trained with the team I see a lot of potential in him, I think he has the vision and the proper range of passing and technique. He is good in inter play but needs work on the physical side of the game as well as dribbling past players but we can help him work on it."

Agcaoili began training with the side early this october and will see his debut for the club in the next season of the PDL as soon as the club secures him a work visa. What do you think of the new signing?

    whale spotted in illinois river

A humpback whale was spotted near Morris IL in the Illinois River today. The sighting comes just days after 2 Great White Sharks were seen frolicking in the same area. While not impossible, it does seem unlikely. It is thought that the whale may have followed the sharks as they sometimes do in the wild. The whale would of had to travel over 1250 miles to get to this location. The Marine Biologist Association will be in town for a full investigation. Until we have answers, we are asking folks to keep their pontoons and fishing boats docked.

two great white sharks found swimming in mississippi river near saint louis, missouri.

While it is not entirely impossible, it is incredibly uncommon for salt water dwelling creatures to stay for lengthy periods of time in fresh water. However, two Great White Sharks have managed to survive the trip and make their way up the Mississippi River somehow. Believed to have started as a mating couple, the two are assumed to have swam the 920 mile journey from the mouth of the Mississippi River that is connected to the Gulf Of Mexico. Officials in Saint Louis have contacted the Missouri Conservation Department and will likely have a team in the river soon to capture the two lost sharks.
