Three Englewood neighborhood men are under investigation in connection with two robberies this month near the University of Illinois at Chicago, Grand Crossing Park, and are suspected in a string of others, authorities said.

The three men, between the ages 17 and 21, are expected to be charged in connection with robberies at a Grand Crossing Park,7655 S Ingleside Ave, Chicago, IL 60619 ., about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 28, and at a Subway restaurant. According to the FBI and an alert sent out by a informant, The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force, with UIC police and Chicago police, have information on the suspects. However, it is still being investigated according to the FBI and police arrest information. Charges also are pending against the two in connection with several other robberies, according to the FBI and UIC police.

In the August 28 robbery, one man exit a blue dodge ; license plated ending in(6993). He showed the Mansfield driver a handgun and demanded cash, according to an alert issued by police. A second and third robber was described, but there exact role in the robbery wasn’t described, except that the three took cash and fled south on Cottage Street. In a recent robbery, two out of three of the robbers entered a Harolds Chicken Shack, showed a handgun and demanded cash before fleeing south on foot. One robber had shown a handgun, either holding it or lifting his shirt to show it in his waistband, while the second robber acted as a lookout.

Charges against the two men had not yet been approved by prosecutors, but were pending, according to Chicago police.
